Strong Start for Club d’Escacs Balàfia in the Absolute Individual Championship
The Club d’Escacs Balàfia kicked off its participation in the Lleida Absolute Individual Championship with an encouraging start. In Group I, Amin Piltan achieved a well-deserved victory in his debut as a federated player representing our club, showcasing solid play and great fighting spirit.
In Group II, Miguel Ángel Vicente also begins with one point, following his opponent’s absence in the first round. Although he did not have the chance to play on the board, the result provides a positive start and sets the tone for the upcoming rounds.
We congratulate both players for representing our club with pride and encourage all members of Club d’Escacs Balàfia to continue participating in official tournaments of the Catalan Chess Federation, especially in standard time-control events, which help deepen strategic thinking and long-term planning.
